Dr. Eliason received her Psy.D. and her Masters in School Psychology from St. John’s University in Queens, New York, where she received her initial training in assessments and therapy. While at St. John’s she served as a doctoral fellow. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Psychology from Stern College of Yeshiva University.
Dr. Eliason is the Director of Psychological Services at Barnstable Academy, a private college prep school in New Jersey that nurtures students’ learning differences. Prior to becoming the Director of Psychological Services, Dr. Eliason served as the School Psychologist at Barnstable Academy.
She has experience working with children with ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, anxiety, depression, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and various other disorders and learning disabilities. She has experience utilizing diverse assessment batteries tools and the cross battery approach. She has worked at the NYU Child Study Center Summer Program for Kids (SPK) and at NYU’s Advanced Learning Lab (ALL); and she has served as an extern in the Fort Lee School District and at the Albert Ellis Institute She received training as a student evaluator at the St. John’s Center for Psychological Services. Dr. Eliason is the second author of a chapter in the book Urban Special Education: The New York Experience.
Dr. Eliason is a certified School Psychologist in New Jersey and New York. She is working towards becoming a licensed psychologist and currently works under the supervision of Dr. Fagan.
